Obituary for Andrea Jean Wolfkiel (Shilling)

Andrea Jean Wolfkiel left this earth peacefully into the hands of God on January 4, 2018. Andi was born June 20, 1949, in Lewistown and was the daughter of the late Harry “Whitey” and Peggy Shilling.
Andi is survived by her son, Eric Loudenslager and his spouse Vianor Broce of Philadelphia. She is also survived by a sister, Lynn Curry and, her husband, Edward of Lewistown and a brother, David Shilling, and his wife Ann, of Hazelton, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Adam Patrick Loudenslager, and a brother, Fred Shilling.
Andi earned an Associate’s Degree from South Hills Business school, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University. Andi worked as a Medical Secretary, for Ohesson Manor, and Geisinger Medical Center. She was a talented knitter, and created a book for knitting clothing for Cabbage Patch dolls in 1985. She also knitted many beautiful pieces for friends and family. Andi also loved her dogs and cats and was an avid reader.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan Street in Lewistown. A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor James Thomas will be officiating. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to Rescue our Furry Friends at 131 North Walnut Street, Burhnam, PA 17009.
