Obituary for Faye A. Foster (Bussard)

Faye A. Foster (Bussard)
Faye A. Foster, 87 years, formerly of Burnham, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Valley View Haven, Belleville. She was born June 12, 1929 in Bedford County. She was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Anna Belle (Weicht) Bussard. Faye was preceded in death by her husband William M. Foster on Aug 17, 1989.
Surviving are children, Marsha Yearick and husband, Richard, of Reedsville, William L. Foster and wife, Lawni, of Milroy, Linda Harrop and husband, David, of Milroy, Wanda Yost of Harrisburg, and Donna Hoover of Hummelstown, 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Her sister, Thelma "Peg" Hale of North Carolina and Gary Lee "Pete" Bussard of Everett also survive. Faye was preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.
Faye had a strong faith in Christ and anyone who knew her, knew of the love and devotion she had for the Lord. Her true faithfulness to God and the Bible has led many to their own salvation in Christ. She led her life to be an example and testament to her family and peers of how to follow and serve her Savior.
One of Faye's greatest joys was her family. She enjoyed rocking all her grandchildren and great -grandchildren and playing games and singing songs while swinging on her swing with them. She enjoyed caring for her flowers, feeding and watching birds, reading, playing games, yard sales, going out to eat, and visits with her family. She was patient, loving, and kind. She was a blessing in every life she touched.
She was a member of Parkview Church of Brethren, where she was a Sunday school teacher for years. In earlier years, Faye enjoyed walking with her friends in the Silver Sneakers program at the YMCA and at Kish Park.
Her services will be private and at the convenience of the family at Valley View Haven with the Rev. Gerald Peachey officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Parkview Church of the Brethren, 990 Parcheytown Rd., Lewistown, PA 17044. Barr Funeral Home, Inc. and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
